You will take your practical test in the car you have received your training in with a one hour session before to put you at ease and calm any nerves. Newly introduced, to the practical test, are two safety questions. These will be asked at the beginning of the test and can be a combination of any two "show me" or "tell me" type questions that the DSA have in their safety question bank. Your training will prepare you for these and you will become familiar with the relevant areas of the car. Your test will last approximately forty minutes and will cover a variety of roads and situations. you will be advised when you are ready to book the test. The DSA advises that forty hours of in-car experience is an average minimum time to be fully prepared for your practical test. We will ensure that before taking your test, you will be showing that you are confident and capable in all situations without too much guidance. At the end of your test, you will be told of the results by the examiner and any relevant comments will be given. |
